What we collect, and what happens to it

Plain terms, not a wall of legal text. If anything here isn't clear, call us on 0488 435 785 and ask.

What we collect

When you get in touch — through the website's Contact form, a Facebook or Instagram enquiry, or by phone — we collect your name, phone number, property suburb, what service you're asking about, and anything else you choose to tell us. If you're an existing customer, we also keep a dated record of each visit: photos and a plain-language condition check for your property.

We don't collect payment card details through the website — there's no online payment on this site at all.

We don't sell your information. It's used to contact you about the service you asked for, schedule and carry out visits, and keep the record of work we've done at your property. Nothing here gets sold or handed to a marketing list.

Where it's stored

Enquiries and job records are stored in ServiceM8, the job management system we use to run the business — a real company with its own privacy and security practices, not something we built ourselves. The website itself runs on Cloudflare's hosting.

If you get in touch through a Facebook or Instagram lead form instead of the website, Meta (Facebook's parent company) handles that initial submission under its own privacy policy before it reaches us — worth a read if that matters to you, at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Who sees it

Your details are visible to the people actually running Clearly The Best — the founder and the technician carrying out your visit. For Platinum customers, garden, lawn and pest work is arranged through trusted local providers, who receive only what they need to do that specific job (your address and the work required), not your full record.

How long we keep it

For as long as you're an active customer, plus a reasonable period afterward for our own records and in case you get back in touch. If you'd like your details removed sooner, call us and we'll action it.

A note on scale. Clearly The Best is a small local business, not a large organisation with a dedicated privacy team. This policy describes honestly what we actually do with your information — it's written in plain English on purpose, rather than copied from a template that doesn't reflect a business this size.
